Your Guide to the Best Kiawah Island Golf Courses
1. The Ocean Course
The Ocean Course is Kiawah Island’s crown jewel. It is the fourth course in the country to host each of the PGA championships. In August 2021, the excitement of the PGA Championship will return to this challenging course! The Ocean Course offers 18 holes with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Ocean breezes from the coast make this course equally as challenging as it is beautiful.
2. Cougar Point Golf Course
Cougar Point offers some of the most dramatic vistas on the island. In 2017, the course underwent a complete renovation. Today, the 18-hole course features amazing tidal creek and marsh views, fresh greens, tees, and fairways, laser-level tee boxes, rebuilt bunkers, and an updated irrigation system. Between the gorgeous backdrop and varied terrain, we guarantee that Cougar Point will become your new favorite place to play.
3. Osprey Point Golf Course
Like many Kiawah golf courses, Osprey Point is praised for its beautiful landscapes. As you golf, take in the views of lush maritime forests, lagoons, and saltwater marshes. One accomplishment that sets Osprey Point apart from the competition is its title as one of America's “Top 50 Courses for Women.” It is also home to an excellent clubhouse and a restaurant that serves award-winning mac and cheese!
4. Turtle Point Golf Course
If you’re looking for a course endorsed by the pros, look no further than Turtle Point Golf Course. Golf professional, Jack Nicklaus designed this course with three gorgeous, oceanfront holes, vibrant greens and fairways, lush forests, and calming lagoons. The course was one of Nicklaus’ first designs and is an example of classic golf course architecture at its finest. This course invites skilled golfers to navigate minuscule greens, narrow fairways, and smartly placed water hazards.
5. Oak Point Golf Course
Of all the recently upgraded courses, Oak Point has experienced the most significant renovations. The new and improved course, which was unveiled in 2015, offers the same championship level of play that other courses on the island exhibit. With a rolling layout and picturesque scenery, you won’t find any other golf course quite like this. When you play at Oak Point, you can test your mental game along with your swing.
