Pets on Seabrook

Seabrook Island features two beautiful dog-friendly beaches. There is a restricted area at the end of North Beach. This area is designated for shorebird nesting and pups are not permitted here. Otherwise, dogs are welcome on the beach. Leash requirements and additional information are available for dogs in the Town of Seabrook beach regulations.

Freshfields Village is a great place to visit with your dog! Many stores permit dogs or have water bowls outside for a pup refresher. Java Java coffee house is a popular spot for outdoor dining with your dog.  Don't forget to stop at Doolittles Pet Boutique.  The dog self-wash is so convenient after a day at the beach.

If you are traveling into historic Charleston for a day trip or stopping there on your way to Seabrook Island, visit James Island County Park and socialize your pooch at Charleston's premier dog park. This fido-friendly park is frequented by many area residents as well as vacationing guests.

Once downtown in Charleston, Waterfront Park is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic with your dog. There are plenty of shaded areas.  Complimentary doggie bags are conveniently located throughout this scenic area. White Point Gardens is another popular dog walk area in Charleston.
