Overview

Welcome to 8 Bufflehead, a 3 bedroom/ 3.5 bath home located in exclusive Vanderhorst Plantation. Situated on a serene lagoon, this 2994 sq ft home offers plenty of space to enjoy the luxuries of Kiawah. Enter to the open living room with flat screen TV, fireplace and seating to comfortably accommodate 6. The floor to ceiling windows offer plenty of natural light and beautiful views of the lagoon. To the left of entry and off the living room is the kitchen and formal dining room. The kitchen is functional and well appointed, offering lots of counter space for preparing large meals and entertaining. The dining room is just beyond with seating for 6, flatscreen TV and access to the large screened in porch.

The master bedroom is also located on this level along with half bath and sitting room. The master suite affords guests a spacious room with King bed, flat screen TV and ensuite. The master bath offers his & her sinks and walk in shower. Off the master you will find a quaint study which can be accessed via the living room as well. This area is perfect for board games, puzzles or reading and offers access to the outside open deck overlooking the lagoon.

Upstairs houses the remaining 2 bedrooms and another loft/sitting area with flat screen TV. The twin bedroom uses the full hall bath, while the queen bedroom has a private bath with walk in shower. The beach access is just a short 7 minute walk away!

Wireless internet access is offered in this non-smoking home.

Our family does not have enough good things to say about our week at 8 Bufflehead Dr. Kiawah. Unfortunately, our week was shortened by two days because of an unavoidable situation at the beginning of the week, but the days we had Monday-Saturday (Checkout) were wonderful. The house was very clean, tastefully decorated, adequately supplied with everything we needed and provided a nice, quiet atmosphere for us to enjoy one another's company. We are all looking forward to staying there again in the near future.

We enjoyed our stay at 8 Bufflehead. They house is centrally located and close to the beach. Furnishings were comfortable and the house was well stocked. The only thing that I needed that I didn't find was a steamer basket. The bathrooms have been updated and were very nice. The house does have some fishing out back which was disappointing to my fisherman companion, and there is no use of the garage. But these were minor in the scheme of things. The Pam Harrington group is great to work/rent with. Overall, a very nice property that we would definitely stay at again.

Our yearly vacation trip to Kiawah Island. We prefer renting a home. It gives us more room, privacy, ability to cook meals, laundry, etc et is a good value for our dollar. 8 Bufflehead worked out well et fit our needs. So pleased we were able to rent it the additional 4 nights. We would rent it again even with some of the small glitches we encountered in our stay. They were minimal et easily taken care of. Thanks for the great vacation experience on Kiawah 2015.

What a lovely home for our family to "live in" for a week. The home was well kept, clean, and has a beautiful view of a lagoon (with some visiting gators). A five minute bike ride to the beach makes for a good location on the island.

The house had a very nice layout and decor. We enjoyed our location in the Vanderhorst plantation located near many of the ponds for fishing. My son loves to fish and caught several redfish in various ponds. The pond behind the house is beautiful but you are not allowed to fish from the house due to the alligators. We saw many in the pond and a few even ventured into the backyard. The walk to the beach is an easy 10 minutes. We would return but not with the hopes of fishing from the backyard!
